A Neat Craft Idea for Old T-Shirts!

Saw this while surfing the internet and thought I'd share :)

You can make market bags out of old tshirts you don't want anymore! Now if only Huntington had a market that I could go to to fill it with...

Lots to look forward to :)

Not a whole lot has changed since my last post, but here's what has:

1. Dax's last living grandparent (his dad's mom) fell Tuesday around noon and broke her hip into about 3-4 pieces. She had surgery on Wednesday around 2pm. The doctor said she might not make it through due to only 40% of her heart in good working order, but she made it through the surgery :) Praise the Lord! She'll be in the hospital for a few more days, but should make a full recovery!

2. Dax's little nephew plays for the Barboursville Little League baseball team (not sure of the age), and he had a game last night against Mason County. Dax and I went, and his nephew's team won -- 17-0! they ended up ending the game at the top of the 4th due to the score. Then today, Dax went and helped pitch to his nephew's team since they will be facing C-K tomorrow, and they have a left-handed pitcher.

3. Next week, my family and I will be headed to Florida to get ready to sail the ocean blue for a whole week! We will be visiting Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman Islands; and Ochos Rios, Jamaica! I cannot wait!

4. I go tomorrow to get my hair cut (not very short, but enough to cut the dead ends off). The new trend that is going around is to get a feather in your hair. I think they glue it to your hair, and it lasts for about 3 months. You can wash it, dry it, straighten or curl it, etc. Instead of doing that, I bought a clip-in one that I can take out whenever I want, and it should last longer than 3 months :)

5. I also go tomorrow to the doctor for my post-operative appointment. I think I forgot to mention that I got my tonsils out 3 weeks ago in my last post, so here it is! I've had three horrible throat infections since the beginning of this year. One infection was so bad that I missed an entire week of classes and lost 10 pounds because I couldn't eat/swallow!! Mom took me to see Dr. Roa, and he automatically suggested that I get them taken out. The pain wasn't as bad as the week that I missed classes, but I still lost about 5-7 pounds. Most of the pain is gone, but it still hurts to yawn.

I guess that's enough for you guys to read for now...enjoy!

TIME FOR AN UPDATE!

ok, I realize it's been FOREVER since I have posted, so I decided to get back into blogging (and attempt to keep up with it). Some things that have changed in my life since my last post (no particular order):

1. I finished my junior year of college/my first semester as an elementary education major.

2. This past semester, I joined the Sigma Sigma Sigma (Tri-Sigma or Sigma) Sorority, and I gained 64 beautiful sisters :)

3. I went to Panama City Beach for Spring Break 2011 with 4 of my newly gained sisters and had the time of life.

4. While in PCB, I met a boy. Crazy thing was, he was actually from Marshall. His name is Dax Adkins, and he is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Marshall (Aunt Jan, are you seeing any repeating stories here?). He and I only saw each other one night while in Panama for vacation, but we met up when we got back home. Dax and I have been dating since April 15th, and I can honestly say I have never been happier :)

5. I just recently applied for a waitressing job at O'Charley's in Barboursville. not even a week passed before I got a call back and they hired me. Unfortunately, I won't be able to start my job until July 27th due to the fact that I'm about to go on vacation.

6. Speaking of vacations, in just a few short days, I will finally be out of Huntington, WV for a while (thank goodness).

I'm sure there's more to add here, but that's all I can think of at the moment! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy :)

Here is a picture of Dax and I taken last night while we waited for the July 4th Fireworks to start :)

Meet Sadie. This is Dax's dog. She always lays in the goofiest positions!

These are the lovely ladies I went to Panama with. One of the best weeks of my life!
